Tonight when I arrived home from work I received a phone call from an old friend, Jason Lawler who I hadn't heard from in almost a year. I had actually been meaning to call him over the last few weeks. Because last time we had spoken he had told me he had written some songs, and played some to me. I was thinking he might have entered Triple J's unearthed compitition.
Well as it turns out he had entered unearthed. http://www.triplejunearthed.com/Artists/View.aspx?artistid=8829 This is a link the his bands page. You should head there and check his band out.

Some more info about his band from Triple J's Unearthed website.

project 62 was recently founded by Jason Lawler and Mark Chalmers. The two decided to produce songs that Jason had written and later decided to utilise and aquire other musicians for the recording process and to become members of the band. The songs written by Jason Lawler usually invite listeners to become aware of issues in society today through the use of imagery, symbolic, controversial and political lyrics. The catalyst in creating a great developing musical act is project 62's musicianship with players like Mark Chalmers on lead guitar. Mark has helped Jason produce these songs and meddles clever guitar solos and liks with great feel and delivery. The remaining members Adam Henry, Jonathan Willis and Peter Woods who have only recently joined the ranks of project 62, also bring their own special touch to the songs and have helped complete the production of Jason's compositions. With time project 62 will grow only more interesting and enigmatic because each member has something great to bring to either the songwriting process and / or musicianship.
